DAY 14:  The Film That No One Expected You To Like – Bring It On (Peyton Reed, 2000)

Don’t be fooled because the film may seem like your typical cheerleading themed cliche romcom, but in reality, it is so much more than that. Reed’s chick flick about opposing cheerleading teams Clovers and the Toros gives a fresh take and intelligently written comedy. The reason why I choose this film is that I feel people think I’m not suppose to like movies that weren’t Oscar friendly. But truth of the matter is, I do. It’s very re-watchable, and the film just exudes this certain level of confidence that it will give something entertaining to the watchers.  This is probably one of the greater comedies that can easily be dismissed just because it looks like a shallow chick flick. As for people who think that way, let me raise my middle spirit finger to you. Haha. 🙂
