65th Primetime Emmy Awards Best Dressed List   Leave a comment

Now that the awards were given and the ceremony is over, let’s give a moment to those who dressed up with such class and panache that if we could have only given Emmys to showing up in top form, they’d definitely be the frontrunners.

As always, you can click the photos for them to be in their larger form. ūüôā

Padma Lakshmi

15. PADMA LAKSHMI in Kaufman Franco

Isn’t it amazing that a woman whose show requires her to eat a lot of food all season shows up this gorgeous at the red carpet? Loving this white Kaufman Franco look on Padma, as she puts the P in this perfect ensemble.

Anna Gunn

14. ANNA GUNN in Romona Keveza

When Anna Gunn showed up at the red carpet in this black and white Romona Keveza creation, I thought she’s missing an accessory. Glad to see her pick it up at the middle of the ceremony as she won Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for¬†Breaking Bad.

Allison Williams

Simplicity is the key to being sexy. That’s what Williams did when she showed up in this cerulean blue Ralph Laurend dress. It was a combination of simple yet stylish that made her look so effortlessly chic.

Giuliana Rancic

Who says you need to be an A lister to make a mark on the red carpet? E! correspondent Giuliana Rancic was top notch looking in this blue Mikael D gown she’s wearing. I’m a fan of the intricate details of the gown, and she’s rocking this short do that she’s currently sporting.

Edie Falco

11. EDIE FALCO in Escada

Four time Emmy winner Edie Falco finally gets it right, as she looks so comfortable in this blue Escada ensemble. It does not say try hard nor is she wearing it like a hanger. The hair looks perfect as well.

Jane Krakowski

10. JANE KRAKOWSKI in Zac Posen

Maybe I’m just a big fan of this color? But despite being empty handed for her performance in¬†30 Rock, one area where she certainly was a winner is in the red carpet with this Zac Posen creation. The hair is a bit Kate Walsh-ish though.

Sofia Vergara

09. SOFIA VERGARA in Vera Wang

We’re used to Vergara bringing out all the guns with her red carpet appearances. It’s probably the reason why this red Vera Wang gown worked for her: it’s restrained and gives her some soft looks and doesn’t scream as loud as Gloria Delgado.

Carrie Preston

08. CARRIE PRESTON in Romona Keveza

She might have won her Emmy for Guest Actress in a Drama Series last week, but that did not stop Preston from going out in top form in this Romona Keveza creation. I understand if you think this is similar to Debra Messing’s 2007 Emmy dress, but I love what Mrs. Michael Emerson brought to the table.

Kaley Cuoco

07. KALEY CUOCO in Vera Wang

I don’t know what is it with Vera Wang this year, but she sure did know how to choose for her actresses. Like Vergara, Cuoco looks more softened and relaxed in this plum gown. For once, she doesn’t look a tacky or a try hard which is probably her dressing motto the past few years.

Emilia Clarke

06. EMILIA CLARKE in Donna Karan Atelier

She might not have won the Emmy, but she sure made her presence felt. Daenerys was showstopping in this Donna Karan Atelier ensemble which will tame every dragon there is out there once they see this outfit.

Elisabeth Moss

05. ELISABETH MOSS in Andrew Gn

Going blonde has been one of the best fashion decisions Elisabeth Moss has successfully made. That, and wearing this black top on a white skirt Andrew Gn gown at last night’s ceremonies. Now if she can only win an Emmy, then it would have been better.

Rose Byrne

04. ROSE BYRNE in Calvin Klein

Emmy nominee Rose Byrne might not be nominated this year (she was there to support boyfriend Bobby Cannavale), but she was a delight to see in this pink Calvin Klein outfit which highlighted her statuesque body.

Tina Fey

03. TINA FEY in Narciso Rodriguez

So yeah basically this is a big FUCK YOU to everyone who says Tina Fey knows no other color than black. This blue Narciso Rodriguez showed Tina has those dangerous sexy curves. And yes she won an Emmy! ‚̧

Julia Louis Dreyfus

02. JULIA LOUIS DREYFUS in Monique Lhuillier

Seeing what Julia will wear is like one of my most anticipated Emmy moments every year. Girl just knows how to bring it every single year. And she did it again with this very natural look in a shimmering Monique Lhuillier look. Oh and another shiny Emmy.

Michelle Dockery

So yeah, this might not have been the most original look, but everything about this worked for me. The color combination? Check. The way the top part hugged her body? Check. Neat hair? Check. Michelle Dockery is a goddess, and this is another receipt to back that claim up.

So, who were your favorites last night? And what is your favorite fashion moment? You can pipe them in below!

If you’re not one of those who are¬†concerned¬†about the awards competition, then you’re probably in for the fashion right? TV’s biggest night just finished a while ago, and here are those who deserve Emmys for bringing award worthy moments in the red carpet.

You can click the photos for the larger version. Credits to and for the photos!

This 30 Rock supporting actress might have been deprived of an Emmy nomination this year, but this Kaufman Franco glittery dress that she paired with a Judith Leiber clutch and Lorraine Schwartz  jewels is a definitely a winning look in my book.

Girls star Allison Williams  stood out from all her co-stars in this Emmy nominated program when she stepped out of the red carpet wearing this emerald green Oscar dela Renta dress in the red carpet.

From one green dress to the next one,¬†The Big Bang Theory‘s Melissa Rauch kept it cute and wholesome in this green couture dress that was made by Filipino designer Oliver Tolentino.

While we are still waiting for that moment when she’ll finally win an Emmy for herself, let’s all just pause and get content that now single Amy Poehler rocked the red carpet in this Stella McCartney shining dress that she paired with a $2 ring that she got from her kid’s toy box.

Pare might be the latest addition among the Mad Men women cast, but she looks so pro as she looked divine  in this white Jason Wu gown that she paired with Bulgari jewels.

From the new Mrs. Don Draper, let’s shift to the original one. January Jones skipped the Emmys last year, and she really made her¬†presence¬†felt this time around when she came back with a bang wearing this Zac Posen creation. I would have advised her to lessen the eye make up though.

Two time-Emmy winner Julie Bowen is one of the trifecta of Emmy winnrs who wore yellow at the event. In here, this strapless Monique Lhuiller gown complimented the Emmy she will be taking home.

Top Chef might not have won the Best Reality/Competition program, but Padma Lakshmi is all sort of winning in this orange Monique Lhuiller gown that she wore at the ceremonies.

Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries nominee Sarah Paulson might not have been swept away with the Game Change love last night, but this blue Reem Acra creation is winning on so many levels.

There are three things that Claire Danes must be proud of after last night. First is her new baby, second is her new Emmy, and the third one is her ravishing look in this bright yellow Lanvin gown that she matched off with Christian Louboutin heels.

Three time Emmy winner Julia Louis Dreyfus’ presence has been really missed in the Emmy red carpet after skipping last year, and she came back not only to receive an Emmy, deliver an awesome speech, and show to everyone her winning Vera Gown outfit.

The Once Upon a Time star looked very interesting with this very detailed orange Monique Lhuiller creation that she paired with Christian Louboutin transparent heels, and a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch.

Sofia had no such luck on her third attempt to win an Emmy, but it’s also her third time to appear on my yearly Emmy list with this aqua blue Zuhair Murad ¬†gown. She should be considered for a grand slam already.

This is Nicole Kidman’s debut appearance at the Emmys, and she certainly did not disappoint, as she looked ravishing and young in this ¬†Antonio Berardi creation that was just launched last week and Christian Siriano heels. Props to her style team for being¬†that quick.

And the best dressed list is topped this year by none other than Heidi Klum who wears this very eye relaxing Alexander Vauthier creation that has a very high slit to boot. This is how you show a leg without looking tacky. Angelina, take notes!

That’s it! Another year of television done, and another one to look forward to. Who were the winners for you red carpet wise? Pipe them in below!
